My name is Luca, which means "bringer of light". I'm looking for a home to shine my light on, preferably with someone to play with. Play is my favorite word! I love playing with other dogs of all sizes. True to my Boxer heritage, I especially love to play boxing with other dogs. People are fun to play with, too, especially fetch! When it's time to rest, my favorite spot is on the couch next to my foster mom with a stuffed toy and a warm blanket... so cozy! If you have a soft spot on your couch with room for me, I promise to bring sunshine into your life each day. 

Luca was picked up as a stray and taken to a small S.C. shelter. His time was up, but he got an 11th hour reprieve when he charmed the staff with a cock of his head. We're not sure why this charmer hasn't been adopted yet. He's been waiting his whole life for a family to call his own. All dogs receive a distemper/parvovirus vaccine(s), kennel cough vaccine, rabies vaccine, dewormer, monthly heartworm prevention, microchip, and are spayed/neutered through CARE. Mixed breeds are our best guess based on our experience and other factors. All CARE dogs are spayed/neutered. If adopted before he is a neutered, a refundable $50 deposit is required along with a signed spay/neuter agreement, and his adopter agrees to bring him to the neuter appointment in Columbia set by CARE with our Vets.
