Sakura is one of the sweetest kitties I have ever known.  She truly is as sweet as she is gorgeous! She is a spoiled princess as she should be with all she went through!  She loves to crawl on her human's lap for scratches and a snooze. Watch your plate though; she is nosey when her human is eating!  She gets along great with all the cats and dogs in her foster home.  She especially loves her 2 boyfriend cats.  They play and groom each other often!  Please consider this very special kitten; you will not regret it!  She has so much love to share!

Update 9/2010:

    Sakura is doing fabulous!  Her breathing seems pretty normal and relaxed!!  She had a big growth spurt in the last few weeks and it really seemed to help straighten her spine out enough to give her more lung and heart room.  Sakura is not spayed yet; the vet feels it best to put it off as long as we can just to be cautious.  We plan to have her spayed in the next couple of months (hopefully before she goes into heat), but we it feel it a much better option to be safe than sorry! It is very likely Sakura will live a long and healthy life, but we cannot be sure, of course. 

Update 8/2010: 
    Sakura is doing well, but needs to see a specialist for an opinion on her back.  Unfortunately, while her surgery on her sternum was a success her spine has gotten worse.  Please contribute if you can. Any amount helps!

Update 7/2010:
    Sakura is doing amazing after her surgery!  She is like a different kitten.  She eats like a little piggy, plays like a normal kitten, and her MEOW works!  She will wear the cast for 6 weeks. Recheck next week.  We are all praying for a fabulous check up!

Sakura needs your help.  She has a condition called Flat Chested Kitten Syndrome or Pectus Excavatum(xrays below).  There is info about it on this website that explains the surgery that Sakura needs.

She is strong and doing well, but her heart is pushed off to one side and she does have some difficulty breathing.  She is the sweetest kitten and really deserves this chance!

All cats receive a distemper vaccine, rabies vaccine, dewormer, FELV/FIV combo test, and are spayed/neutered through CARE.
