Persephone is with out a doubt a "People Dog", she LOVES to have her belly rubbed, LOVES to lay in a lap, LOVES to cuddle, and LOVES attention. Persephone quickly became her foster mom's shadow. She gets along very well with other dogs. Persephone is not good with cats. Pugs often battle weight problems becoming overweight or obese which can lead to several other health issues. Pugs are very vulnerable to extreme temperatures, but especially heat and humidity. Over-exposure to high temperatures can cause long term damage to a pug's organs including the heart, kidneys, and liver. Temperatures over 80 degrees can be hazardous to a pugs health and have been known to cause heat stroke, which is potentially deadly. These are just a few things to consider To view more information on the Pug breed, this is a good site to visit: http://www.pugcenter.com/basic-pugcare.php
All dogs receive a distemper/parvovirus vaccine(s), kennel cough vaccine, rabies vaccine, dewormer, monthly heartworm prevention, microchip, and are spayed/neutered through CARE.
