Learn more about the Shetland Sheepdog Sheltie.
Skylar is a sweet, happy, little boy! He hasn't met a human, dog, cat or bird that didn't love him. He is special needs; he has a healed spinal cord injury that causes him to be a bit uncoordinated. He can run and play like a normal pup. He cannot climb multiple steps; he can get up 1 step to a landing without any problems. He does get up 3 large stairs on his own occasionally when he really wants to. He is on a glucosamine supplement and a supplement to help him control his bladder. Skylar has a good deal of control over his bladder and bowels. However his slight inability to control these functions has made it difficult to potty train him. If he goes outside often he has very few accidents. He hasn't had a urine accident in the house in about a month. I don't leave him inside for longer than 3 or 4 hours at a time. Please consider giving Skylar a chance to have a loving forever home. All puppies receive a series of 3 distemper/parvovirus vaccines, kennel cough vaccine, rabies vaccine, several dewormings, monthly heartworm prevention, microchip, and are spayed/neutered through CARE.
