Patches was surrendered to CARE by a volunteer from another local rescuer. They had their hands full with several piggies they had rescued, and Patches needed treatment asap.

Poor Patches was very dehydrated, covered with demodex mange (non contagious) and had a severe foot infection. He had a long, hard road to recovery, but he is well, happy and thriving. Patches would make a great companion for any family. He would love to have a piggie friend too! (either a male or spayed female only)


All Guinea Pigs receive health exams through CARE prior to adoption. We feed high quality pellets, hay and assorted fruits and veggies. We primarily use Aspen bedding or shredded paper (helps reduce allergens for those of us who suffer from allergies). We do not typically neuter Guinea Pigs, per our Vet's advice. We will only neuter ones who come to us already bonded and are of opposite sex.
