Phineas is a beautiful Rat Terrier. His photos do not do him justice, so check out this video: http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=10150441579581304 Phineas came to us from a S.C. kill shelter. He's shy at first in a new place and needs a little time to get to know you. He'd love a home with another dog to lead him. He gets along very well with his four "foster" doggy siblings. He is crate trained, and feel comfortable and secure in his crate when nervous. However, he really opens up when he has cuddle time on the couch! He needs a home possibly with a gentle dog that likes to make new friends and with people to show him love he longs for. He also does well with cats and children. Send us your application now to bring this sweetie home. Phineas, like most dogs who have been strays, is heartworm positive. He will be treated by CARE at no extra cost to his adopter. All dogs receive a rabies vaccine, distemper/parvovirus vaccine(s), dewormer, monthly heartworm prevention, microchip, and are spayed/neutered through CARE. If old enough, dogs are tested for Heartworms and treated by CARE if positive. A completed adoption application and home visit are required to adopt a dog. We do adopt out of state. The most complete information about available dogs, including their current age and adoption fee, can be found on our official website at www.caretoadopt.org.
