Solo was picked up by the Dog Catcher as a stray. CARE busted him out of the hoosegow on 11/20/10. He is Oh-My-Goodness sweet and doesn't know the meaning of stranger. He greeted every person he saw on his way out of the clink.

I LOVE: my foster mom, belly rubs, a leg to set my head for a good rub, running in the back yard, playing tug rope and wrestling with the other dogs in the house, food and treats (I have even learned to sit for them!). I am very curious about the world and need to check everything out.

 I HAVE: alot of energy and an eagerness to learn.

I NEED:  lots of room to run and time to exercise .... and a comfy place to rest when done.!! A family that will take the time to play with me and shower me with love and attention. And firm but kind leadership. I am crate trained and close to fully housetrained (I sometimes have an accident when overly excited), I know Sit and know my name. I am working on Off, Down and Wait and will have those aced in no time!

I GET ALONG WITH: adults and children (my "foster boy" is six) I share the house with three other dogs that range from medium to large sized and though I prefer playing with the smallest, I get along with all of them!! I haven't been tested with cats yet. 

Solo does the signature Dobie lean into you for affection. No need to pet him; just hold out your hand and he will rub his head against it for self-petting! Everyone who meets him is instantly charmed. He's in that awkward juvenile stage where he's clumsy and can't quite get his feet right. It's so endearing. Solo is also incredibly handsome with his deep chocolate markings... the total package.   

All dogs receive a distemper/parvovirus vaccine(s), kennel cough vaccine, rabies vaccine, dewormer, monthly heartworm prevention, microchip, and are spayed/neutered through CARE.
